Epilepsy Awareness & Emergency Medication (Buccal Midazolam) Training
This 3 hour training will provide you with a full understanding of epilepsy, the different seizure types and the impact epilepsy has on learning and behaviour.
Training includes the use of emergency medication for prolonged seizures (buccal midazolam) and sets out the principles and safety aspects that relate to administration. A practical demonstration on how to give emergency medications will be carried out and you will have the opportunity to practice in a simulated situation.
A variety of teaching and learning methods are used including group workshops and case studies. Video footage of different seizure types is also included.
