Our History

Solutions Social Care has been providing personalised day support and personal development opportunities throughout North London and beyond since 2011. Our approach has from the beginning been founded on our belief that the people with whom we work are individuals deserving of absolute respect and empathy, on constant improvement, and on a commitment to full accreditation and accountability.

We are incredibly proud of how far we’ve come. Interested to know how we got here? Read on below!

2002: Solutions Social Care is born!

We begin life as an agency providing temporary staff to some of the UK’s leading autism and learning disability charities, and quickly develop a reputation for training and equipping the best staff available. It’s not long before our roster’s quality and commitment lead to many of our temporary placements becoming indispensable and being taken on as permanent team-members.

2005: Think Local, Act Personal

From the beginning SSC’s reputation has been based on our combination of empathy and expertise in a truly person-centred approach. In 2005 this is officially recognized when we are appointed as a partner in the nationwide Think Local, Act Personal initiative, a program that aims to promote personalisation in social care.

2010: We come to you!

At the heart of our approach has always been the personal connections we forge with those we support. In 2010 Solutions Social Care takes the natural step of moving away from the agency model and into the provision of direct support, working in partnership with local authorities, the NHS, the CCG and numerous private clients to provide building-based and outreach services for people with special needs across Ealing, Acton, Hammersmith, Greenford, Islington, Camden, Hackney, Northolt and Hertfordshire.

2015 – the present: Our reputation grows …

One thing that sets us apart is that we have always pursued accreditations, regardless of the sometimes considerable costs involved: this is both because we want you to be reassured of our trustworthiness and because we want to be pushed to achieve constant excellence and improvement. The education, outreach and health services we provide for people with autism and learning disabilities have now been fully endorsed by the Autism Accreditation Service, Skills for Care, CPD and the British Institute for Learning Disabilities.
